These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between Car One Automotive (Ruan Service Group ABN 85 668 633 305 and Ruan Service Group Hendra ABN 69 678 960 382), hereafter referred to as “the Business,” and its customers (“Customer” or “you”). By engaging the services of Car One Automotive, you agree to be bound by these terms. You are engaging the Business’ services when you make online booking or leave your vehicle at the Business’ premises or otherwise possession, or when we sell a product or service to you.
You acknowledge that these terms and conditions and the Job Card embody the whole agreement between you and us. You agree that the scope and terms of the Estimates, Quotes, Job Cards (including prices and quotes) may change as a result of updated instructions from you. By booking in your vehicle and/or offering to buy products and/or services from us you agree to be bound by this agreement.
A reference to “products” in this agreement includes all parts or products fitted as part of services we provide to you, unless the context requires otherwise.

The Business provides automotive services, including but not limited to vehicle repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, and inspections (“Services”). Services will be performed with due care and skill in accordance with industry standards.
The Customer must provide accurate information about their vehicle and any known issues.
The Customer must ensure the vehicle is in a condition suitable for the requested Services.
Mechanical conditions that are not present or detectable before servicing may emerge due to wear, tear, deterioration of parts or improper maintenance. In some cases, these parts may unintentionally or inevitably fail during servicing or repairs and may develop symptoms after the service that were not present before the service. Car One Automotive is not liable for such occurrences.
Car One technicians will attend every vehicle with due care and will try identifying any unknown or any not specified issues, we will not be liable for any failures arising from pre-existing conditions, intentionally or unintentionally not provided information when booking the service or any unforeseen conditions.
Appointments are scheduled based on availability. The Business reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances. The Customer must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
All our prices, quotes, estimates and invoices include GST unless stated otherwise. An estimate or price is only binding on us once you sign the Service Authorisation engage the Business’ services. Our estimate remains valid for seven (7) days. Any quotes provided by the Business are estimates only and may be subject to change based on further inspection, unforeseen circumstances or Customer’s instructions. The Customer will be notified and must approve any additional work or costs exceeding the original quote before such work is carried out. The scope and pricing vary from the originally provided as a result of updated instructions from you. Instructions for such additional work may be provided via email, text, or phone call. Please note that all phone calls are recorded, and verbal confirmation will serve as official authorization for further work.
You understand that larger vehicles may require higher quantities of oil during servicing. We may at our sole discretion, and without contacting you for authorisation, charge an amount to cover the cost of the oil used in the service.
Should additional work be found necessary during the course of the service which would cause the estimate to be exceeded, we will endeavor to contact you to explain the additional work required and to seek your authorisation for the additional costs to be incurred before proceeding.
A detailed tax invoice outlining the work carried out and associated costs will be provided once the work is completed. Payment must be made in full on the day of the work being completed and prior to collection of your vehicle. We accept cash, credit cards, American Express, EFTPOS, bank transfer, Afterpay, ZipPay, Humm and where approved, personal bank cheques.
Trading terms for customers who operate an authorised trading account with us, are fourteen (14) days from the date of Tax Invoice unless agreed and specified otherwise.
Please note that property in any product sold by us to you does not pass from us to you until we have been paid in full.
By booking in your vehicle you agree to pay for labour, spare parts and materials required for that purpose at our current rates and prices.
We use quality aftermarket parts and lubricants that meet or exceed the specifications of those originally fitted by your vehicle manufacturer. Should you wish to use an alternate brand or product, we will take reasonable action to source that part or product for you, although this may impact on the pricing and time commitments of your car service or repair.
You understand that some vehicles require larger quantities or higher grade oil during service. We may at our sole discretion, and without contacting you for authorisation, charge an amount to cover the cost of the oil used in the service.
We agree to perform the services as described in the “Job Card” (or as amended as a result of updated instructions from you). Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

Courtesy vehicles are subject to availability and must be requested when booking your service. You must hold an unrestricted driver’s licence to use a courtesy vehicle. Insurance excess may apply in the event of damage to the courtesy vehicle. We reserve the right to withdraw or change this service at any time.
Courtesy vehicles are given out to the client at a set fee. Please enquire for the cost.
You agree to pay us in full for all services rendered and products supplied before removing your vehicle and/or the products (as applicable) from our premises, unless otherwise agreed. You further agree that payment of all amounts for work as set out in the Invoice and (in the absence of manifest error) all amounts set out in that document become due upon completion of the relevant work and must be paid by close of business on the day of completion of the work, unless we have agreed otherwise. Late payments may incur additional fees or interest, as permitted by law.
If you have been given credit terms, you agree to abide by our “Terms and Conditions as set out in our “Application for Credit Account”.
You acknowledge our account terms are strictly thirty (14) days.
Failure to comply with any of our terms may result in these terms being amended or credit withdrawn without notice.
Should you fail to pay by the due date, you accept the balance of the debt will be placed in the hands of a debt collector and/or solicitor for formal demand and collection of any monies outstanding and agree to pay all fees and disbursements which may be levied by that debt collector/solicitor and any associated court costs.
You acknowledge that interest may be charged on any overdue amounts at our discretion.
To the extent allowed by law, in the event that you:
this agreement will terminate with immediate effect and any outstanding monies will become due and payable immediately.
Our returns policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. This policy is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
You may return a product for a refund or exchange within 14 days with proof of purchase, unless that product is:
We will not be liable for your freight, restocking fees that might be applicable by some suppliers or other costs in returning products unless otherwise agreed, or where you are entitled to such costs under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods and/or services fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Our guarantee below is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

This warranty will not apply:
a) work performed elsewhere;
b) parts supplied by the customer;
c) alteration, accident, misuse, abuse or neglect;
d) unsafe or inappropriate driving practices;
e) use of the vehicle in a competition or event;
f) where the goods are subsequently removed, repaired or modified by an unauthorised service agent.
g) Irregular servicing of your vehicle or its components, eg Radiator and/or cooling system.
h) Ignoring warning indicators.
